Try one trade

This is the real game engine, running in your browser. Pick a company, set a stop, buy, and watch what the next two game days do. No sign up. Nothing is saved.

Who this is for: anyone curious, no trading know-how needed. It is a 30-second taste of RGO Class, the classroom game. In class, teachers teach the basics first (what a share is, what a stop does, how the score works) before any team trades.

Not day trading. RGO is about long-term investing habits: knowing what you own and why, protecting your money, and not putting it all in one place. The game squeezes days into seconds so students can see what a habit does over time.

New to this? 3 words to know

Share
One small piece of a company. Own a share and you own a tiny part of it.
Stop
Your safety net: a price you pick before you buy. If the stock falls to it, your shares sell by themselves.
Score
Points out of 100 for good habits, like using a stop, not just for making money.

Your starting money: $10,000 (practice money, not real)

  1. 1. Pick a company
  2. 2. Set your stop
  3. 3. Watch 2 days
  4. 4. What happened

Step 1: pick a company

Which company do you want to own a piece of? Read about each one, then tap it. Each one comes with a real news story from its past and the real price move from that day.

Real company names and real past news are used to teach. Rise Grow Own is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.

How the score works

Points for good habits, not just luck

In RGO Class every team gets a score out of 100. Making money helps, but most of the points come from playing smart.

  • Results

    Up to 40 points.

20 points for breaking even, plus 4 for each 1% your money goes up, minus 4 for each 1% it goes down.

  • Playing

    Up to 20 points.

4 points for each trade, up to 20.

  • Stops on buys

    Up to 20 points.

Full points when every buy has a stop to protect it.

  • Reasons and feelings

    Up to 10 points.

Teams write why they traded and how they felt.

  • Spreading your bets

    Up to 10 points.

10 points if no stock ever held more than 25% of your money.

That is why a lucky guess cannot win on its own.

Season challenge

Trade all year, beat last year's record

Beyond the class period game, a season lets every student trade on their own from a start date the teacher sets to the end of the school year. Practice money, real prices, one standings board for the class.

  • The teacher picks the dates

Start any day you like and run to the end of the school year. Students who join late can still play.

  • Real daily closing prices

Prices are the real closing prices of real companies. An order fills at the next market close, so nobody trades at a price they already know.

  • Every buy has a stop

A buy needs a stop to protect it. A take-profit is there to lock in a gain. Both are checked on every daily close.

  • Titles to earn

Market Leader, Podium Trader, Top Ten Trader, and Longest Champion for the most days at number one.

  • A records board

Each class keeps its records, so next year's students have a number to chase: beat last year's record.

Season standings
